There are many myths surrounding hypnosis, so let me just clear up one or two of the main ones:

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), is the study of, and connection between thought, communication and actions. In a therapeutic setting there are a number of simple change process that can be used to help things like phobias, fears, releasing emotions, dealing with the past or resolving conflicts. The majority are done when the client is fully awake although there are a couple that can be done in hypnosis too.
NLP is also excellent when applied to business relationships and communications.
